The belt ranking structure on the right is what the Zentokukai organization follows. Please note that we have Adult ranks (Senior Kyu Rank and Dan Rank) and Children/Adolesence ranks (Junior Kyu Rank). With the exception of the plain white belt, there is a certificate (Shosho) given out for each level preceeded by a promotional test. Test are offered 4 times a year (March, June, Sept, and December). There is no requirement to take each test, the list above only reflects when the test are offered. One could be 6 months between test or years between a test, it just a matter of performance, attitude, knowledge, etc.
